Ukraina 2007

During my a few day stay I reached nearly Moldavian and Romanian border being in Kamianec Podilskyj (Kamieniec Podolski), Chotyn (Chocim) and Cernivci (Czerniowce). Between I and II World Wars these areas mostly belonged to Poland, so on these areas you can meet Polish language and Ukrainians with Polish roots of course. It is estimated that in lvov and suroundings live about 300 000 Poles or Ukrainians with Polish roots or spiking both in Ukrainian, and Polish sometimes also in Rusian. After II World War those areas were connected to Soviet Union and from 1991 this is independent Ukraina. So fates of nations from all those areas were not so simply. You can meet people who remember all three states on these areas.

Old Lvov.

After a few minutes climbing up you can get on the same top of the mountain. from where you can see all the city and suroundings.

Out of the cities

Ukraina is a vast country. traveling by car or bus you can admire very wild green fields, forests, hills, rivers. wonderfull lanscapes.

Wonderful castle and scenery. Your tourist trap warnings would make me wary of travelling there.
