| burn your ass on a volcano - and feel alive!! |
Hi guys! Nice of you to stop by and have a look at what I have done here. Any tips, corrections or anything you have, I'd be happy to hear it... And before you ask "why Whoopi?", well... it's not because of Whoopi Goldberg, even though she is a fantastic actor. It is simply because it sounds like something you might scream out while you do something funny or crazy - Whooopiiiiiii!!!!
Travelling is my big passion in life, unfortunately I'm not so passionate about building the pages when I get back. I promise I'll do better from now on so please have patience with me. Getting to know people is a never ending excitement right, both when travelling and in your daily routine, so if you send me an e-mail just to say 'hi' you'll make my day :)
I don't think anything has had a greater or more positive affect on me than my year in Ghana. It is now a part of me as I have some great friends there as well as my African host family. My passion to go out into the world and learn has grown stronger ever since then..
Another powerful trip I made was the summer of 2005, to Israel and Palestine. It gave me some of the strongest encounters with people that I've ever had... The destinies and the stories you will find in this part of the world would make you laugh and cry at the same time - and want to cry out to the leaders of the world to please... let there be peace so people can live again, not just survive...
Love you all, and feel free to come and visit me in Norway :) |
| | About me One of my reoccuring nicknames while travelling seems to be "smiley" or "smiling girl". I believe in the contagious happiness - so if I see someone on the street smiling, being happy, it makes me happy too.
I love travelling by myself, not to be alone for alone's sake but I find it easier to meet people and be contacted by others when I'm not in a group. Random meetings and friendships like this often lead to exciting detours, adventures and knowledge - usually it also leaves you with friends for life...
I believe in travelling the world with care. I try my best to be humble and always remember that I am the stranger, the visitor.. the one who have to adjust. Still, there is a fine balance between being humble and walked all over.
I'm a coffee-junkie and a sucker for adrenalin-kicks. I love to go out, to stay at home with a book or walk long distances across unknown territory for a newspaper. I read people fom the music they listen to and the way they carry themselves. And just so you know - the best gift you could ever give me is a big heartfelt hug... |
Bergen I study in Bergen, the second largest city in Norway. You should really make time to come and see this charming place if you ever decide to come to Norway. I'm not originally from here but I have really learned to appriceate this city as a cosy and fun place to stay.
Surrounded by seven mountains Bergen is kind of rainy, but if the sun happen to come out you can be sure the population in Bergen come out too, for a stroll, a beer or a coffee down by the wharf. See some pictures in my Bergen-page if you like :) | | |
Making friends Viritual Tourist is a great way of getting in touch with like-minded people. I always try to give anyone who writes me a proper response, also because it is so much fun to get to know someone. I will, however, not respond to e-mails or comments from people who don't build their pages and use this site as a way to meet women. |
