Yes im the slack one, so many holidays i haven't even got around to writing up but im always willing to try and impart some knowledge on the places ive experienced. Maybe it will help maybe not, but at least ive given it a go.

So today after meeting with the lovely Sirgaw (David) and Sandra i have had a renewed vigour and have actually posted some pictures of my family and of our meets with other VTeers. In time who knows where this renewed vigour will take me.

My travels have enabled me to see a fair bit of Australia and a little bit of Asia, these include

Bangkok 3x (going again on the 23 July 2009)

Kuala Lumpur 1x (going again on 3rd May 2009)
South Pacific 1x
Melbourne 3x (and surrounds) (going again on 26th May 2009)

Gold Coast 1x

We are also doing Adelaide on the 4th Sept 2009

I live in a small rural community 20 km north of Bunbury or 180km South of Perth. I grew up in Rockingham so know my way around Perth fairly well. We moved alot when i was first married and have seen most of Western Australia including the Goldfields, and up North. For the last 20 years the South West has been our home and I have no intentions anymore of leaving the relaxed lifestyle we have come accustomed to.

No i don't work, i officially like to say "i've retired" much to hubby's chargrin, but as long as i continue to find cheap holidays and he gets a break then all is good. I have my three kids at home with an additional teenager so home life can get hectic but somehow i wouldn't want it any other way.

Courtney is 16 and is currently trying to learn how to drive, i mean that in that she is very trying! lol
Ashleigh is 15 and very much into all things musical.

Sirgaw and Buffybird

A very quick but pleasant meeting was held today. After a mix up on locations we finally succeeded in roaming amongst the gnomes. A quick coffee and tour of our town including our renowned local shop followed.

Such a pleasure to meet a lovely couple.

Gnomesville!

There are many different stories as to the origin of gnomesville, but today it is a thriving tourist attraction. Located 20km out of bunbury this natural bush location is now home to over 1000 gnomes. Visitors are welcome to bring their own gnomes, write a verse and forever leave a memory of their visit. If ever you visit bunbury and wish to visit and place your own gnome please email me.

After much conversing we finally meet in Singapore! Pictured here with Anthony and Marie is my husband Chris (the bald one) my daughter Courtney and myself.
First tea and then a beautiful walk around Clarke Quay followed and then after travelling all day blessed Sleep.

Thanks Anthony and Marie we will truly treasure our first overseas meet!

This quaint and exciting tourist attraction is a favourite of mine. This formally working mine site has been transformed into a bygone history education experience. Try your hand at panning for gold, watch the gold pours, take an underground mine tour, attend school and try writing your name with a quill and ink. Whatever your choice of pleasure a day spent in the 1800's era can't fail to please.
