Trees, Rain, and Wildlife

by foster_kid - last update: Apr 29, 2006

Juneau is my current home and my wife and I really enjoy living here. Yes, the rain is unrelenting but it is a rainforest. In fact, it's one of the largest temperate rainforests in the world. Best time to visit is actually in the spring between March and mid May. This is the dry season here, but it will likely still be a bit cool. On the plus side there are no cruise ships yet. If you only have a short time here make sure to see the Mendenhall Glacier or take the Tracy Arm cruise.
