Nightlife Spot: The Alley Cat

Years ago this was one of the places to be. It was a hot dance club and lounge where the rich and famous came out to play. Today it's a kareoke club. I would go back just to see how the club has changed. I used to work here as a cocktail waitress, the tips were excellant and the patrons were awesome. It's still decorated in it's cheetah spotS which is nice to see.

Nightlife Spot: The Big Easy

This club used to be Zanzibar back in the day. It has changed owners and changed names, but its still the same club with the same non stop high energy. Watch out for celebrities while you are here. I came here with Lane, a friend of mine who worked for channel 4 sports at the time. It was here I met Charles Barkley, Dan Marley, Alex Stivrens and many other Phoenix Suns players. Nightlife Spot: Hong Kong Restaurant and Bar.

Every college student in Boston as well as Bostonians, know what a Scorpian Bowl is. Its a drink made from about 20 different alcohols that tastes like Hawaiin Punch. We used to frequent the Hong Kong, because my boyfriend's room mate's boyfriend worked there. This was where I first learned that my friend Tony loved the Wizard of Oz and that when he got drunk enough we could talk him into skipping down the street singing it at the top of his lungs. We really had a good time.

Nightlife Spot: Axis

Axis is famous for it's live music. This is where I saw Gwar, L.A. Guns and one of the many battle of the bands events held here. This is also where I learned how to dress like a heavy metal chick. Can we say mini skirt, thigh high black leather boots and garters. Andy, my boyfriend at the time, had a fit when my room mate and I showed up. As he put it, he loved the way I looked, but didn't want other men looking at me, seems to be a theme with my boyfriends, Christopher had a problem with that too. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Nightlife Spot: Avalon

If chosing a good location is key to determing the success of your business, then the owners of the Avalon were paying attention in business class. The Avalon is located across from Fenway Park. This location along with its progressive music have made Avalon one of the most popular clubs in Boston. The Avalon is said to be Boston's best representation of a New York club. Avalon is not only a dance club. It also hosts concerts. During the week you will find mostly progressive music and dancer with Friday and Saturday nights hosting more of a main stream tone. Sunday is alternative lifestyle night at Avalon. There is a very large dance floor and 13 bars around the room. The cover varies from $5-$15 depending upon the night.

Nightlife Spot: Boston Billiard Club

Michelle, Paul, John and I could be found just about any evening of the week playing pool at this wonderful pool hall. This place is absolutely huge. This place has been featured in many billar magazine and has often been rated the #1 billards club in the country. You can play pool in the large room or you can spend the $10 an hour to rent a private pool room. The atmospher is very pleasant and comfortable. This is not your typical pool hall by any means. Boston Billards not only offers pool, it also has an arcade, darts, and foosball. For those of you who stink at pool as I do, there are TVs located throught the facility to distract you from you terrible skills. The club hosts all ages, but you must bring ID if you want to drink booze.
