Bus Times Aren't Guaranteed and other Blarney, Ireland Warning Or Danger Tips

Heading to Blarney for a day trip form Cork? If you head there on public transport, you'll be using Bus Eireann route 224.

When we went for the day, we missed our return bus to Cork by 10 minutes - because it left 10 minutes early! Blarney is not the start/end point of the route but it is not far into the route on its return to Cork. Apparently, according to locals, the bus is known to run early, especially on Sundays (the day we visited).

Make sure you are at the bus stop at least 10 minutes early to ensure you catch your desired return bus. If you are taking a wander round the square and see the bus, run for it - it will not wait!
