Well, it has to be said, that mid March is barely Springtime but Mother Nature was good to me and the sun shone down on Copenhagen!

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised about how easy it was to get around and how much there was to see and do.

I spent 3 nights which was around sufficient as I'm not much of a museums person - an extra night would have been required if more museum time was needed.

Royalty in Residence!

Changing the Guard

There are advantages to visiting during the winter and spring months. The royal family are in residence and not taking their own holidays, so changing of the guard is one of many free activities in Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid - free!

A visit to Copenhagen can be a wonderful experience without being heavy on the budget. There are many free activities and sights and, being relatively flat, the city is very accessible.

Now you have made me nostalgic for Copenhagen :) It is the first city I visited when I was 8 and I have been there so many time since then, but that was before I joined VT, so I have no photos without people in them. A lovely page :)

Nice page! For only 3 days, it is impressive with how much you were able to see. Great tips on Absalon Hotel and Kroner currency. We spent a couple days in Copenhagen in 2005 and wouldn't mind going back.

Very nice photos and useful tips! The Italian restaurant seems to be a nice place to have dinner and to drink a Chianti:)

I've never visited the Little Mermaid - got as far as the Kastellet and once I found there was no bar decided to retrace my footsteps.
