My dad lives near Durban in a place called Waterfall. I visit him every 2 - 3 years and get down to Durban at least once during each visit. I'll get round to building this page and putting on photos in the near future but feel free to check out the tips I've done so far.

If you are offered the 2 day excursion south - do it. It was amazing, except for the old dusty bus, but saw almost the whole of Tunisia.
It seems like ages ago that we were in Durban but I still remember the lovely beaches, the flea markets and Sea World.
I'll be down in Durban later this month, hope your having a great birthday
Pity your visit to KZN was full of electricity power outs (load shedding). My mom stays in a suburb with some members of parliament, and she has avoided being shed off ESKOM's network. When our power is off, we can always go to her for supper.
Hope your Dad is feeling better soon, Gilly! :-) I'm also looking for inspiration...for some February sunshine! I'm leaning towards Mauritius at the moment...seems like the perfect destination to escape the British winter!
KZN has so much to offer.
