"The next Dubai?" Kuwait by Vulindlela

Kuwait Travel Guide: 275 reviews and 746 photos

Why that particular title?
I was reading the morning paper in Kuwait and it had an article about the future of Kuwait keeping up with places like Dubai and Doha.

I know Kuwait is a long way from similar status to Dubai, but at least they are considering the future.

Hard Rock Cafe

Yep, there's one in Kuwait too!

Everyone was out at night.....................

Because it was 115 F in the day.
I found the city streets to be desolate during the day.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:A modern city with a lot of growth.
  • Cons:Very expensive and not a lot to do------yet!
  • In a nutshell:Kuwait is a very friendly place!

Looks like a nice place for a short stop-over. I never realized it was that expensive.

Fascinating but not a place I will be visiting; i.e. heat and expense.

Beautiful photos of Kuwait! The hotel looks fantastic, what a room! I wouldn't mind staying there, although I don't think my travel budget would agree with me about that ;-)

Lovely slogan: love all, serve all. The pillows look larger than the bed!

Thanks for the welcome. Kuwait has a long way to go towards Dubai status, still waiting for the Budweiser girls to show up here. The Palms Hotel has everything you need for as good of a stay as you can have in Kuwait... beach front and near to the city.

As long as it reamins dry, probably not, at least not in terms of international tourism. Doha is making a big effort to emulate Dubai.
