For some reason, Tallinn has not been very familair to us, even if it´s allmost as close to Tampere, as my homevillage in middle of Finland. When we first visited it around the later half of 1990´s we felt that people were not so happy, and we even felt they don´t like us Finns. We met many unfrindly people and many places were in very poor shape. So it took many years for us to go back. I know that all this mentioned was because of the years under Soviet subjugation.
We had a quick visit to Tallinn at 2007, when coming back driving around Europe. We stayed one night (only the night, not at daytime) and when we went out to eat, we noticed how much it had changed ovet the years.
Now we finally went with good time, stayed two nights. And it was pleasant surprise! We really liked it this time, people were much happier and friendlier and palces look well repaired. Only bad thing was the rain, so we must go again in the summer, because we want to see many places we couldn´t now because of the rain and allmost stormy wind.

Too bad for the weather..

..must come back in summer. Ferry tickets to Tallinna are cheap from Finland, and you can get them in short notice. So we can see the weather forcast and book the tickets. Now we wanted to try to find some christmas shoppings, so we booked this week earlier.

Cheap delicacys

Eating out (and the drinks from coffee to alcohol) are very cheap for a Finn. So you can feel like you have more money than you actually do ;) It´s allways a pros at travelling.
Even though going to shopping for clothes you will find tha prices around the same as back home (in Finland).
There´s one very good restaurant at the photo.

Good Tallinn tips. I didn't realise that Tallinn was such a popular shopping destination for Finns but it definitely makes sense. I hope you can add some more tips after your Christmas shopping trip. Have fun! :-)

Maybe next year... Good to know about the Reval Inn. Thanks.
