Charming town(s)

If you wouldn´t know,you would have thought that these two are the same town.Maybe the locals don´t like you to think so,so that´s why I have put most of my restaurant-tips under Vila Nova da Gaia.So check my other page also,if you want to know where we ate.We only ate once at Porto-side.

First days at Porto it was raining many times.Someone in Lisbon said that it rains every day at Porto.In our trip it was close to true.At clody days town looked more sad than at last days,when the sun shined.It was like complitely different town,if you ask me.
Even at cloudy days it didn´t rain all the time.And you couldn´t belive the weather-forcast..Those days promised to be rainy,were most sunny!

We didn´t like Portugese food so much (sorry!!),but we might come back to Porto one day.My friend was here at end of July 2005,and had better luck with weather also.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Nice and charming town
Cons:Windy nights and rainshowers when you least expect

Turska, lovely little page about Porto. Interesting restaurnat and accomodation tips. We were in Porto in the middle of May.
