Luggage And Bags:
Make sure that any bag, or other luggage, that you have with you, is safely secured about you. It's best to carry money and valuables in a money belt. Do not leave handbags open and don't carry anything worth having in your pockets, as there are plenty of people only too willing to deprive you of them. Also, when you drive through London, always keep your car doors locked, as you never know if someone is going to chance it and open the door to steal your handbag. I always lock our car door through London.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Very comfortable shoes is a must in London and always be prepared for showers of rain, so carry a light waterproof jacket with you, even on warm days.
Toiletries & Medical Supplies:
Make sure that any medications that you will need on a trip into London is safe and secure about you.
Please make sure that you have tissues with you too, too often there are times when you can go into a public toilet and have to drip dry because of the lack of toilet paper hehehe.
Photo Equipment:
Camera and spare rolls of film; maybe even a Video camera if you have one. Keep them out of sight if you can, but don't risk your life if someone is prepared to threaten you for your belongings. cameras are replaceable, your life is not.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear:
I can't really see that you could ever camp in the city of London? Unless you're one of those saddos who sleeps outside of a shop at night waiting for the sales to open, so that you can grab a bargain.
A newspaper would be a good idea if you are considering sleeping on the park benches at any time I suppose?
