St Agnes in Cornwall is a small old tin mine village. there's some nice scenery here, and some very high cliffs, but like the rest of Cornwall, it is a total rip-off!

I'm sorry you were disappointed with your chalet. Personally, I don't mind where I stay as long as I can go out and admire the scenery. Like you, I prefer private showers to communal ones though.

I went to a similar place once in Honolulu and just turned around and drove back home. It is horrible to think people can sell crappy places.
