The Mecca for Australians
A small town outside Amiens, Villers- Bretonneux was one of the main reasons for our trip to this area of France. My Grandfather served in WW1 in the region and I wanted to visit the Australian War Memorial. It was an emotional experience for us and a trip I would recommend to anyone visiting from Australia. The Memorial is about 4km out of the town centre but the locals were extremely helpful to us in transporting us there.
