|  | Route 66 day 2 We flew into Chicgo O'Hare Airport to begin our route 66 road trip in June 2002 .This is the first photograph I took ,we had just left the hotel in search of breakfast.We turned the corner,and there was the Sears Tower in the distance ,with the elevated train tracks in the foreground. |
The reason why we came This was our first glimpse of the road that was to be our companion for the next 15 days Route 66. The Mother Road ,Main Street of America call it what you will Adams avenue in Chicago is the start of what was to be for us, an amazing journey. |  | |
|  | Chicago River Sitting on the shores of lake Michigan and bisected by rivers Chicago has a lot of things to see related to water. A must is a Chicago river trip which is a unique way to see and hear about the diverse architechtural styles of this city.Also don't miss Navy pier with it's shops anfd Ferris Wheel. |
