Life is a Journey

by endzoearth - last update: Jul 23, 2006

Not Your Average American!

I am originally from Michigan, but immediately after high school I moved away. I spent a year in Texas, four years in Oklahoma, and I now live in Louisiana. In addition to these, I have visited over 30 states, which I have not listed on this site. I was fourteen years old when I began travelling the world, starting with the Mexican border city of Nogales. Most of my trips have been Christian missions trips. Whatever the case, I have become addicted to travelling. I do not consider myself to be your average, stereotypical American, who is entirely ethnocentric, arrogant, loud, and culturally insensitive. In fact, I try hard to be quite the opposite. I speak French, as well as some Italian and some Spanish. My passion for the world compels me to travel. After all, is not life itself a journey of its own?

SUMMER 2006 - Germany & Italy!

I just returned from my European adventure to Germany and Italy! I spent about 9 days in Berlin, Germany, working with a Christian student organization on the university campuses of Berlin. From there, some friends and I traveled to and around Italy for about a week. We flew from Berlin to Venice. We spent just over a day there, and then we took a train on to Manarola, which is part of what is called the Cinque Terre, or "Five Lands." These are five little fishing villages perched upon the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Without a doubt, this was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! It was incredibly peaceful, and there was very little tourism, which I loved! Finally, from the Cinque Terre, we traveled on to Rome where we ended our trip after a couple more days.
