All too brief a visit

What was intended to be a holiday doing nothing in the sun turned into an amazing tour of Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzogovinia.

We became fascinated by the jigsaw of differing nationalities, cultures & religions of this lovely area. The scenery is simply stunning, the people welcoming and we had so many experiences in such a short time – many quite moving.

We did much of our research on VT before we left & wanted to give something back .....

........ Breathtaking beauty ......

In Europe there is no other country with so much variety in such a small area. Montenegro has 30 km of coastline, the largest lake & the deepest canyon in Europe, fertile wine growing plains & imposing mountains. Montenegro also has numerous cultural monuments and reportedly the second tallest women in the world!

Don't spoil this lovely country

The physical and psychological damage from war and political strife war is healing but with the recovery comes tourism. Of course this is great for the economy but hopefully not at any price. Too may places on this planet have been ravaged by uncontolled tourism - don't spoil Montenegro .....

Pros and Cons

Pros:It has everything - culture, coastline, mountains
Cons:You might not want to return home!
In a nutshell:A beautiful unspoilt place - I hope it stays that way!
