Splash: Trendy Boutique

This is where I usually buy clothes for myself and my wife. Their house brand is called ZYNC.

They also sell Lee-Cooper, Kappa, Maui and Sons ,Retro and Adidas apparel.

CITY CENTRE: Giant Mall

No doubt the most visited shopping mall here in Doha. The mall has 2 food courts, supermarket, large parking space (which really cannot accommodate the number of patrons visiting the mall), internet cafe, ice skating rinks, bowling alley, amusement arcades and lots of boutiques.

My favorite store is Splash, Gant, FCUK and Timberland.

I was surprised also that this summer they opened their water park for kids.

Look out for days when they go on SALE as they drop down the prices as much as 50%.

Souq Al Asiery: Filipino Stores

This place in Doha is called the Filipino area. If you are craving for some Filipino food, there is the Kamayan restaurant. If you want siopao or mami (chinese noodles) or hopia, there is the Manila Bakery. If you want some canned goods and instant noodles, one can visit the Pinoy Supermarket.

The Landmark: Upscale Shopping Mall

The Landmark - a class of its own. The boutiques occupying the mall are mostly caters to upper class customers.

Thursday night was dedicated for families. As I am travelling with my workmate, we decided to eat first at Friday's. After our dinner (we finished around 9pm), that's the only time the security guard allowed us to enter the shopping mall.

Taxi is very hard to find in this area.

There was a display of Ducati motorcycles, Lamborghini and latest model of Volkswagen when we visited the mall.

What to buy: Florsheim, UCB, Esprit, MNG, Givenchy

What to pay: More than average
