This is part of our vacation for 2006. After Bohol, we make a transit route to Cebu so that my kids can see the following beautiful places in Cebu City:
1) Magellan's Cross,
2) Sto. Nino shrine,
3) Taoist Temple,
4) Lapu-lapu shrine,
5) Cebu Capitol Building.
6) Barbeque stand at Fuente-Osmena Blvd. (tried also the "puso" - heart shape rice wrap in coconut leaves)
7) Visit at the Taboan market (famous for dried fish and squids)
8) Visit at Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu
Cebu city is often called the bustling city in the south. Business and commerce are always on the peak.
In addition, the city is always host to numerous conventions (ASEAN summit was the recent one) due to its location and available facilities.
Cebu City is also a good choice for travelers and vacationist. There are good choices of hotels and resorts, places to visit (heritage and culture), restaurant to satisfy your food cravings, and bars to spend the night.
I used to stay in Cebu for months during the construction of Ayala Center Cebu and Gaisano Mandaue when I was still working with Jardine Davies. That was from the period of 1993 to 1995.
- Pros:Delicious dangit and dried squid
- Cons:Traffic jam is almost the same as Manila

Gimingaw hinuon ko sa Cebu oi! Samot :) marunong ka bang mag Cebuano? I stayed Cebu in my younger years. Sayang wala akong mga pics....a reason for a revisit ;). Thanks for bringing back my nice memories. musta.
