The National Park Vicente Pérez Rosales is the most ancient of the country, being created in 1926, with a surface of 251.000 hectares and located in one of the most privileged zones of the country.
His principal attractions take root in a relief of volcanoes and mountains, big forests of native trees, and one of the most beautiful and virgins lakes of the south of Chile: All The Saints.
This landscape diversity and the domineering presence of his volcanoes, they have turned to this park in one of the principal destinations of the region of Los Lagos, since inside his limits the visitor not only can observe the scenery, walk or observe the flora and the fauna of the zone, but also he can enjoy the thermal baths, the ski, walks in boats and the fishing, between other things.
The park is located in a zone where the active volcanismo has been, along with tectonic and glacial processes, the factors that gave form to the mountain range of The Andes.
The biggest heights correspond to volcanic summits of different antiquity, standing out the Sharp-pointed volcano (2.490 msnm) and the Osorno (2.661 msnm) between the most recent and the Sting (1.710 msnm) and the Tronador (3.491 msnm) between the most ancient.
The regression of the glaciers and the appearance of the volcano Osorno, the formation of the lake allowed All the Saints, surrounded with high mountains of hanging fortresses and with wastepipe in the river Petrohue towards the estuary of Reloncaví. The volcanic activity demonstrates also in an indirect way across a series of thermal baths, between which those of Vuriloche can be indicate, Ralún, El Callao and others.
