Knocking on Some Door Somewhere For Ten Years

Prologue

For someone like me, someone who immensely resents change, who values the comfort of the known, the old, all this, I mean what I have been doing the last ten years of my life is a total surprise. By my ill-nature, I was supposed to grow roots whereever I was born. I hated change. How did this all happen? How did I find myself travelling three continents in search of a home within? Homesick, but I no longer know where home is.........

Where It All Started and Ended-for the time being

This is how the eight year long journey seemingly ended. About ten months ago when I finally came back to Istanbul from Detroit, I didn't know that I would soon be headed to a totally different climate for a looong five months, well that's another subject soon to be written about.

July 17th, 2005, on a bright sunny day, my life in Detroit tucked in brown boxes arrived in Istanbul in a container. After 118 boxes were squeezed in my new home, I took this picture. It's july after all, I deserved a sunny beginning.
