Not really. I expected the city to be cold as it is so close to the Himalyas but it was kind of hot in the month of Jan !

The hill between you, having the last road a vehicle can go, and the icy mountains - there is one or two more mountains cold enough for trees not to grow but no ice. To cross them to get close to the amazing icy mountains it takes 10/15 days of tracking( walking). If you want pay for a plane or halicopter, you can only see the mountains through the glasses - you can't land on any. We wanted to do that but frustraited not being able to. Nepal gov. restricts any flight operators landing on any of the Himalyan mountains because of the frequent accident happened in the past my declairing them as national preserved areas.
