Al `Ayn Travel Guide: 48 reviews and 118 photos

Al Ain has many meaning in Arabic language. Here Al Ain means The Spring. Al Ain and Al Buraimi are a group of 12 oasis that were split between the UAE and Oman. Until 2-3 years ago people would travel between the 2 cities without the need for a passport or an ID. It used to be confusing some times in which country you are. This is no longer the case because there is a fence along the boarder that separate the 2 cities and the 2 countries.

Al Ain is home to the UAE University, The first and biggest university in the country. It is also home of the only public medical school.

Terrific page. Excellent research and photos. The grave site at Hili Park reminds me of Inca structures a world away. Thank you for sharing.
