Things To Do: Walking along Rustavili
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • If you are in Tbilisi you'll have to Walk along Rustavili starting from the Metro Station, Rustavili Statue , and McDonalds . If you dont like to eat in McDonald you'll love the toillet!! Staff are friendly and won't mind you using it in case you have an Emergency. Then you'll see the Opera house , the Marriot Hotel followed by Keshviti Church .

Opposit to the Church you'll see Public School N 1 and the Parlement building. then the Governer's Palace which is used now as an Art school. As you walk further you come across the Janesha Muesum which is closed for renevation and then Tavisuplebis Moedani Metro Station . Followed by the Square it self. On the Square you'll see the Golden statue, The City hall, The Court Yard Hotel and The Money Museum .

Rusavili Ave. is the most elegant street in down town area with plenty of shops and resturants. It safe to walk even at later hours of the night.

Things To Do: Walking along the Metvari River
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Walking along the River on pleasent day is full of visual treats. Tiblisis along the Metvari river is very similar to washington DC along the Potomic river at least for me. Starting from Marjanishvili Metro and heading South on Marjanishvili road, After crossing the river take left and walk along it until you reach Gorgasalis Moedani.

In that area there is a nice Pedastrian section with Art Galaries, cafes, The Tbilisi History Museum and few old churches, The Narikala Fortress, The Botanical Gardens and Mother Georgia. On the the other bank there is The Metkhi Church and the Statue of King David The Builder as you can see in the first picture

don't forget to bring your own stuff. Warning The sulpharic Bath stinks (it smills bad but you'll get used to it. Apparently Alexander Dumas had used this facility!!

Things To Do: The Money Museum
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Museum has a collection of Money from all over the world. It also has a good collection of coins from various period of Georgian History. All are displayed in a nice way with English explanation.

When I visited the museum there was no one @ the Door so I paid nothing. I don't know if admission is free or it was my lucky day. Any way the museum is worth a visit
