I first visited Asia in 1967 while in the US Army. I was sent to Vietnam to fight the war against the "Communists" and to prevent the domino effect.

Instead, I fell in love with Asia. I vowed, when I left in 1968, that I would return someday, perhaps to live.

I have done that.
