"Liptovsky Mikulas (aka Mikulas)" Liptovsky Mikulas by Freddiexpat

This is a beautiful located country town with a population of 45,000 people in the centre of the Liptovsky valley at the head of Liptovsky Mare. There are good aminities and a developing tourist trade with the High and Low Tatras on it's door step. GR8 4 SKIING etc. Then there is the "Ice Caves of Dermenova" UN site of outstanding natural heritage. The thermal spas and Western World theme park. All of this within 10 minutes drive of the town.
The big bonus is that one is only 30-40 minutes from Poprad International airport with flights to the UK and Europe via the budget airline network. There is also the advantage of being able to drive here all the way by motorway from London(No Tolls till Austria and Slovakia*).
YES.... thats right and I have done it ! (execpt for the few miles that are still under construction).

Here at Cafe and Cocktails is where I can always spend a good time having a drink or just a really good coffee or tea in a warm friendly enviroment just around the corner from the main square.

Going down one of the easy runs and for those that like the challenge there are black runs as well.

• Pros:Great location to be based from to enjoy the natural life and countryside activities
• Cons:lacks the diversity of major cities (can be a blessing)
• In a nutshell:A place where you will have a friend round every corner.
