It is hard to imagine a more lush and green place than Kauai. Having been to the other islands, I can tell you that Kauai is by far the most beautiful. The vegetation is so thick you can't imagine actually walking through it without a machete. (Which I don't recommend by the way). The photo ops are endless here. |
| | The perfect honeymoon spot My wife and I Honeymooned on Kauai, and it was perfect. Kauai is right called the garden isle, well because that is pretty much all there is. It is perfect if you are into enjoying the natural beauty of a place, and not necessarily looking for non-stop thrills. The island itself is pretty small, (you can drive around the whole thing, or at least the sections you can get to, in about an hour), so you can explore in safety. There are plenty of empty beaches to enjoy, and the snorkeling is good too. |
Explore, explore, explore I have heard more than one person say that they found Kauai boring. But it is far from that if you have the courage to get out there and explore. Granted, not everyone will say that walking around the jungle is exciting, but hey, it works for me...
Don't be afraid to pull to the side of the road and examine a small waterfall or the odd cave here and there. That is what makes staying in a place like Kauai so much fun. There aren't that many people, and the natural wonders are sufficient that you can do so without running into 100 other people. | | |
