I feel home when I am in London, like if I had lived there somewhere in the past, in another life maybe, hard to explain but an amazing feeling. I normally stay at a small hotel with an affordable price near Bayswater Road, in front of Hide Park, one of the many London Parks. I rarely use The Tube ( underground )I preffer the old Red Double Deck Buses, something unusual for most people in the world, which provides a nice view of the city while going to the place I want to, well, I am on vacation, no need to hurry, besides, travelling by underground, what can I see? Any good book can give you information about places to go and see, but I'd reccomend a guided tour to London Tower, some amazing stories are told by the guides, whether they are true or not it doesn't matter, does it?
If you are planning to rent a car, as I usually do, pay a lot of attention to the first 10 km, until you get used to driving on the opposite side of the road, for us, specially when overtaking, IT MUST BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. Driving through Britain is a pleasure, mainly on secondary roads, which allows you pass along the small towns, where certainly there is something interesting to be seen. Fish and chips can be found nearly anywhere, if you like fast food, this is a very nice option, average price is around 3,60 pounds.
Nothing defines Britain better than a Pub, you must visit some of them even if you don't drink at all, like me.
