I guess the best place to begin is in fact the beginning...

I was born in Cyprus, but at the age of four, my parents picked up and moved to Saudi Arabia where my dad was employed by an oil company. I spent most of my childhood and adolescence there, and can honestly say it was the best childhood anyone can ask for.

I grew up in an international community, where diversity was the norm.

Some of my early childhood memories consist of my parents and I packing into our little Toyota and driving out of the residential compound we were living in, into the wide expanse of the desert.

Sunset was the best time as the temperature was bearable, and the desert sand became a sea of golden orange... it was amazing.

I think I was about 5 or 6, and all I wanted to do was play in this giant sand box, and climb the dunes. Nothing beats getting on your hands and knees and fighting the steepness of the flowing sand, only to reach the top, take off your shoes, and see the sand cascade from them. :)
