Backpacked Frankfurt in January In January/February 2006 we backpacked Eastern Europe and on the way home made a quick stop in Frankfurt for a night.
Our first stop was the Ziel, and up the escalator in the mall for a fantastic view of the city from the roof. Unfortunately, with only one day to enjoy the city, we were rushed to see a lot. We spent the evening trying out a few bars in Sachsenhausen and then crashed in a cute little hotel a short walk off the district. |
|  | Sachsenhausen: Want a drink? Pick your theme and sit down for a drink in the Sachsenhausen district. Bars range from Irish pub to Firehouse to Jungle Fever. Live music can be heard from the street. Wander during daylight hours and the area looks surreally like Disneyland for adults, with little houses painted in varying colors sitting on narrow cobblestone roads. |
