After Machu Pichu and the Amazon, we spent about 3 and a half days in Lima relaxing at the end of our trip. It was nice to be in a big city again, and there was lots to see and do. Among other things, I paraglided off a cliff in Miraflores, visited the beautiful San Francisco Monastery/Church and its creepy underground catacombs (you HAVE to go), and took a side trip to the ancient ruins at Pachacamac.

We stayed in Miraflores, which was a little too Spring-breaky for my taste, but it was a nice place to find a restful hotel and drink flaming drinks.

Paragliding form Miraflores' Parque Del Amour was an awesome experience. What's more fun than strapping yourself to some extreme sports dude and jumping off a cliff?

San Francisco Cathedral was the highlight of our day in Central Lima. Ditch the tour and wander around those creepy, skeleton filled catacombs all by yourself!
