    • Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Pharmacies in Phuket are great and very cheap, we buy only what we need once we get there.


    Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Take a small umbrella, you never know when you will need it!!

    Miscellaneous: The adaptor for Thailand is the same one used in Bali and Cambodia.

    We always take a small Aussie powerboard with us as well, then we can charge everything at once if we like, eg mobile, camera, laptop etc.

    • Toiletries & Medical Supplies: We dont take any of this with us as its so cheap to buy in shops there, especially the Pharmacies, if you can buy it here then its available there at a fraction of the cost eg, Cafergot (migraine tablets) cost me $26 for 20, in Phuket I can buy 100 for that price.

    (Of course I am only talking about general medical items like pain relief, diahorrea tablets, etc)

    • Luggage And Bags: As most of us can only bring back 20 kilos of luggage (not counting hand luggage) make sure you have lightweight suitcases, our cases are huge but only weigh just under 5kilos.

    Dont bring home anything you can do without. Throw (give) away all your toiletries eg, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants etc, all these little things add up in weight.

    Load up your hand luggage with any heavy items you have bought, its amazing how much shopping you can cram into a backpack.
