"Phuket" a Phuket Travel Page by Cathy&Gary

Our first visit to Phuket was way back in 1994 and many, many trips later we still love the place but our time spent there is now a lot longer!

We spend on average 4 months of the year in Phuket (June, July, August and September). This is our base to then travel to other destinations in Thailand such as Krabi, Khao Lak, Udon Thani, Ranong etc.

Swiss Palm Beach Hotel at the northern end of Patong has fantastic low season rates so we stay in a 1 bedroom apartment there.

Our trips to Phuket are normally started off with another destination such as Cambodia, a place we also love dearly. We have been there 3 times over the last couple of years.

We hire a 4x4 and drive ourselves around Phuket and other various places in Thailand. Its easy to drive there, just expect the unexpected and all the roads are well signposted. Our next big driving trip will be later this year when we drive from Phuket to Hua Hin and back.

Another very popular night out is the Friday Night all you can eat BBQ for 175 Baht at Rawai Mini Golf, then everyone heads off to the Sunshine Bar.
