For me Agadez is such an interesting place to visit along with it's camel market, ancient quarter and night market. There is always something going on here. The maze of old mud brick houses and winding and twisting narrow streets is probably my favourite. Quite easy to take a wrong turn though, so I would suggest a guide if it's your first visit, although for a small fee one of the locals will put you back in the right direction. Mind you if your after photographs, you are likely to get hassled, with calls of 'cadeaux' from kids in the street. If your their on a Friday, don't miss midday prayers at the minaret mosque. Not everyone can get in due to the n umbers which means there's agreat opportunity to take some shots fcrom the terrace of Hotel de L'Air across the road. You should aim to be there at around 1:30 to catch the action.
