Our Dream

Our names are Cathie & John, we live in Wolverhampton England
We are normally independant travellers taking our caravan/ tent all over Europe, John has even taken his motorbike to Turkey, we are now looking to move from this cold land that we live in, SO LOOK OUT INDIA, WE ARE ON OUR WAY. Just hope you can cope with the scouse sence of humour

Here at last

Well it's now September an we have been in Kovalam for 7 weeks, moved into our rented home and have made a lot of friends, our landlady (lives below) invited us for Onam, we had a great home cooked thali meal and now we get nice puddings sent up, we are living very nicely on £25 pw and that includes eating out a few times a week, what more can you ask all this with a daily dip n the sea!!!

Feeling homesick

Late November and I'm missing England like I dont know what!. I miss the kids more that I thought I would, and I know if I went home I would not see them that often. I miss the everyday things we take for granted like going to the shops and just having a look around...........take no notice of me, it's just not as easy as you think. I take my hat off to those that do it and not look back. Flight booked for Feb to renew our Visa's and i've said I will give it a year.

We too have dreamt of moving to India when we retire, so I will be interested in finding out how you get on. Good luck and I hope you don't get too homesick :-)
