I'm fairly new to VT, but I've been using the site for research and general viewing for years. I guess I never really thought I was well-traveled enough to become a member. It seems strange to think that now. I would guess that if you have any interest in travel, you should be a VT member - even if you've never been anywhere. And as much as I like my job and my house, I often feel I could give them up to spend all my time traveling. Now if I only had unlimited funds...

My last long-distance trip was to Montreal in September, 2005. It was a great city, I must say. I was expecting it to be nice, but I liked it so much, I think I may go back. There are so many places to visit though, it's just tough to commit to the same place twice. If you are not ready to go overseas but want a true European feel, Montreal is about as close as you can get -- and you are still able to drive there from the continental U.S.!!! Well, in my case, I was able to use frequent flyer miles to obtain this great long weekend!

Just got back from Munich and Bavaria... A very nice - but expensive - trip! I have already decided I will have to go back to Southern Germany. There is so much that I just didn't have time to see. But of the things I did experience, I'll be sure to offer many tips and pictures. Those pages will be under construction for a while (like almost all my pages). Right now I have over 1500 photos to sift through from Germany and Austria.
