Orlando is not only the #1 tourist destination, but also one of the best places to live.

I was not going to add tips about theme parks, but since that is why most people come here, I have changed my mind. I will try to add some tips for things that people visiting would not normally think of doing and I don't see on some of the other Orlando pages. Most of my page is geared towards families with kids and the kinds of things they might enjoy, so don't go looking for the best bars to party at, or information about art museums on my page...you'll be wasting your time.

Some of the things I like about Orlando other than theme parks: Orlando is a nice and for the most part very new and clean looking city with lots of trees and lakes. You never run out of things to do here, even if you don't go to the parks. You can go ice skating and rock climbing indoors, and hike on some great "jungle" trails with lots of gators, birds, and other wildlife just outside the city, or rollerblade on one of the three bike trails. There are springs in the surrounding areas for swimming, and the beach is easy to get to. Orlando has the most and best restaurants any place I have ever been.
The weather is mostly great, unless we are in the middle of a hurricane...

My favorite ride: "The Hulk"....the rest of my family finally talked me into getting on this very fast roller coaster and now I agree with them...best ride in Orlando! The Spiderman ride is still my second favorite. See tips for more photos.

Best park with animals: Sea World

You can find wildlife right inside the city limits in most areas. Many of the lakes and ditches have gators in them. There are racoons and possoms in our backyard frequently.
