We drove from Montana, though North Dakota on Interstate 94, with stops at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Mandan, Bismarck and Fargo. Mostly the State is covered with farm land and empty space. |
| Theodore Roosevelt National Park |
| | Theodore Roosevelt NP looks a lot like the Badlands in South Dakota, but with grass. We drove through it and looked at a prairie dog colony. I have never seen so many little rodents in one place, and would hate to have them in the yard!! They're cute, but they sure destroy the landscape. I can't imagine farmers being too happy with them. |
| | If you ever feel the need to get away from civilization, this is the place . We drove for hundreds of miles without ever seeing a major town ( more than a few farms with a gas station/store). |

b1bob Tue Jun 16, 2009 17:12 UTC We have a diner in Richmond along a similar theme. It's called "Galaxy Diner". It's rather "Mel's Diner" meets "Star Trek". | karenincalifornia Mon Nov 3, 2008 04:06 UTC My father was born in North Dakota, but I have never been here. I'm impressed that you have visited almost all 50 states, and ND is one of them! (You will LOVE Washington and Oregon!) | rdney99 Sun Aug 10, 2008 20:46 UTC Heard about this unique restaurant, there's one in Minneapolis too I believe. Somebody was very creative ! - Tony from WI. | littlesam1 Fri Jun 29, 2007 18:12 UTC I doubt I will have any reason to visit North Dakota. But if I do I am hunting down that restaurant. |
