| the Amphitheater in Ephesus |
This is not a page with great travel info for Turkey, just some of the photos of our brief visit. Hopefully we’ll make our way back someday (without incurring the cost of a Turkish rug next time…). We found Istanbul to be the amazing vibrant city it is touted as; straddling 2 continents and about as deep in history as any city can be. |
| | Ephesus Having seen much of Italy and its Roman ruins, I wasn’t expecting to be overly impressed with Ephesus.
Wow… the ruins here are more extensive than any others I’ve seen; Ephesus likely represents the most complete examples of an ancient Roman city. From the huge amphitheater to the full facade of the Library and the roads and temples… We were quite amazed. |
