Our Tuscan hill town of choice

Montepulciano is:
- A well preserved medieval gem.
- Home to great architecture, including the perfectly placed San Biagio church.
- Less touristed than say Cortona & San Gimignano.
- More substantial with more to occupy you than say Pienza & Montalcino.
The highest of Tuscany's hill towns, crowning the perfect landscape that surrounds it.

65 KM south-east of Siena

At more than 600 Meters, Montepulciano is built on a narrow ridge, along which the main drag snakes. Steep narrow side streets drop down from here, usually afording great views of the Tuscan landscape. This, along with a large number of renaissance palaces make a stroll through town a memorable experience.

Great atmosphere.

Vino di Montepulciano

Most of the surrounding coutryside is vinyards. These grapes go into making some high quiality wine, including Vino Nobile di and Rosso di Montepulciano. Of course the local table wine here will hardly disapoint.
