The town where I live I was born in 1961 in Nelson Lancashire. My parents then took me to Australia to live in Adelaide in 1963. My brothers John and Alan were born there. Barnoldswick is where I live now and have done so since 1993. My husband David works at Rolls Royce which is the towns main industry. I moved over there as he already had a house in Barnoldswick which was handy for him to get to work. Barnoldswick is known as Barlick to local folk, and many years ago it was in Yorkshire. Nowadays people still argue about whether it's in Lancashire or Yorkshire. I don't really care, haven't people better things to argue over. |
