I was born and raised in San Francisco, and even after traveling all around the world (and living in England for half a year), there is no place I would rather live. The city is strikingly beautiful, whether it's a foggy or clear day. Its famous hills, bridges, and staircases (San Francisco has ~40 staircases) all add to San Francisco's charming mystique. But one of the most wonderful things I find about my hometown, beyond its beauty, is its character. The city's residents are so diverse, whether ethnically or ideologically. On our transportation system, you will see a person with green hair and 20 tattoos sitting next to a Financial District businessman. San Francisco's neighborhoods match this diversity - you will see the infamous Haight Ashbury district, and the upper-crust Nob Hill area. San Francisco has something for everyone! Visit this spectacular city, and you too may feel like you "left your heart in San Francisco..." :-)
