Sleepy Oil Town Seria Town is one of the 5 towns with an old "built up" town center which consists of a number of rows of shophouses. It is the town that is built up to supply the oil and gas industry in the country as the offices of Brunei Shell is nearby in the suburb of Panaga. |
Town Center There is only one hotel in town, the Seria Hotel. It is a small hotel and although it is less than 5 years old, it can be rather run down. It may be preferable to stay about 20 minutes away in the Kuala Belait suburb of Sungai Pandan. |
Places of Interest The only places of interest in the town center is the plaque set up by the late Sultan Omar Ali Saiffuddin. There is the Seria Plaza in the heart of town which has a number of shops, and the open air food stall serves a large variety of food - chinese, malay and thai.
Places of interest just outside the town center include the billionth barrel monument towards the west and anduki recreational area to the east. |
