crashing and crescendoing as the currents tug them hither.

The muddily-rippled deep troughs support the breakers,
ebbing and flowing as dictated by the unrisen moon's powers.

Becalmed, the bay's gunmetal sheen never fails to fascinate,
especially at dawn when the rising sun, hidden from view,
creates a golden mirror finish concealing what lies in the depth
of the water underneath, as churning and confusing as you.

The rage of a full tide is a different beast altogether, a wild thing,
especially at sunset when the Rising Sun, a temptress on hold,
awaits as the camera attempts to capture the spume whitewashing
the sea-smoothed rocks, not jagged just unyielding and cold.

The power of the sea belittles me - it takes me places,
maybe places I want to be.
