"BUCERIAS - Quiet and Peaceful" Bucerías by emmicat
Bucerías Travel Guide: 23 reviews and 94 photos
Bucerias is a smallish village about a half hour drive from Puerto Vallarta on the Bay of Banderas. Bucerias is popular on the week-ends with the locals living in nearby cities especially on holidays. I was there part of Easter week and was amazed at how many large families arrived to spend the day on the beach. The food venders were out in force and everyone seemed to have a great time. Despite the influx the beaches were still far from crowded and I loved seeing all the extended family members coming together for the day.
The little market boomed as well as more vendors selling all kinds of food in the plazza.
During the week Bucerias is a peaceful, quiet village with numerous decent resteraunts and deserted beaches. There are many Canadians that live here half the year from October to April and own homes and businesses. Language is not a problem - most of the business people speak English.
More to come!!! I will be adding some tips and more photos in the next few days.
- Pros:Quiet, peaceful, beautiful beach.
- Cons:Maybe too quiet for some.
- In a nutshell:Take lots of books!
