Radisson Sas Polar Spitsbergen: Best hotel in town Radisson Sas Polar Spitsbergen Review

The SAS hotel has a very central location only 100 m from the main shopping area. It has 95 rooms including 24 apartments with several rooms offering views of the Icefjord and Advent Valley. There is a lobby shop open 24 hours, free internet connection, restaurants and a pub. The sauna is open from 4 pm til 11 pm. The hotel can arrange all kinds of activities, but a better option is to go to Spitsbergentravel just across the street and arrange it yourselfs. The rooms are nice and ours had a bathtub.

The breakfast is great and you can have lunch and dinner in the Brasseri Nansen. They serve international dishes and Arctic specialities such as seal, grouse, char and reindeer alongside panoramic views of fjords and mountains. Or you can have a light meal and drinks at the Barents Pub and Spiseri, popular with locals and guests alike.

Unique Qualities: Nice, clean and very friendly staff. The location is very good.
