This is one of the few places in Finnmark that was not burned down during the second World War, and it has therefore kept its Finnish architecture dating back to the time of the Finnish immigration during the 19th century. Most of the 300 inhabitants are of Finnish origin, and Finnish is still spoken here.
Bugoeynes is one of the few places in Norway, where fishermen have been granted licences to fish the Kamsjatka Crab. |
