Minsk
I love Minsk.
I spent 4 years of my life here, studying at the University. While studying was not that great, my life here was a lot of fun!
It`s beautiful, clean, safe, interesting, easy to move around...
Some facts:
- it`s a capital of Republic of Belarus since 1991,
- the first trolley bus started running here in 1952,
- it`s the only city in Belarus with an underground (since 1984),
- Population: 1 781 000 people (statictics of 2006),
- there are 7 theatres, 12 museums, 13 higher education institutions and more than 600 streets,
- Minsk`s city-brothers: Detroit - USA, Havana - Cuba, Lion - France, Bangalor - India, Novosibirsk - Russia and few more from Japan, UK and Netherlands.
