trains and railway stations are ideal pickpocketing grounds in Rome as well as any where else in the world. i lost money due to my own carelessness.split money ,travellors check and cards and keep in different parts close to your body.never in the pant pocket. if you are a lone women traveller be home before dark and don't be alone in lonely alleys. do not carry ladies hand bag which can be easily snatched. and do not keep phone cards unattended for a second they wil scratch and use it with in seconds
