Getting TO/AROUND: If you stay more than a couple days, definitely the weekly metro pass is the way to go. It is called 'The orange carte' and get the hebdo (weekly) one. They also have the monthly pass (MENSUEL) if you stay longer than a week. It only costs me 15.70 euros for the weekly pass for Zone 1-2. You can get it in most train station. I got mine at the 'Gare du Nord'. You will need a small photo for the pass. ( smaller than passport pic) but I never shown it in the metro. You can also use it for bus.

Getting TO/AROUND: Remember to check the last train schedule for the Metro station near your hotel. Each station/line has a different time. Some of the RER-line (A,B,C lines) may stop even earlier than Metro line. Be sure to check all the connection between Metro station. Most of them ended between 12:15 - 12:45 a.m. depending on the station. If you happened to miss the last train, you can always try the night bus or taxi. You can read my 'night bus' tips for more details.

    Busses: Paris Night Bus

Getting TO/AROUND: If you misses the last metro train, there is other options other than taxi. There are night buses running at the major streets in Paris. They all started with letter 'N'. They normally run between 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. when the metro stops running. It is always a good idea to check the schedule and where is the cloest Night bus stop to your hotel before your night out. Their schedule is either every half an hour or sometimes even an hour apart.
